What do I bring and  wear to class?

We wear yoga attire such as a tank top & leggings. Knee pads and water bottles are high recommended. For climbing and inversion classes, less is more, bring your short shorts, tank top, and sports bra. Yoga mats are provided but if you desire you may bring your own yoga mat. We do not wear shoes, lotion, or jewelry during class.


What is the best class for a beginner?

We offer a 6 week beginners series the covers the fundamentals of pole. In addition, we have a number of mixed level drop-ins. Please see class description for more details.


Where should I park?

There is 90 minute street parking available.  After 6 pm & on weekends there is no time limit. There is also a parking garage on Hoyt between California and Hewitt that is free after 5 pm weekdays and is free all day on the weekends. We suggest you give yourself an extra 15 minutes to find parking.


Are your classes for women of all sizes and fitness levels?

YES!  Our classes are accessible to women of all fitness levels, sizes, and abilities.



I have never been to a pole classes before, what should I expect?

Writhe is a private, safe and supportive space where students can break out of their shells. Writhe is a sanctuary for women to exist as their authentic selves without judgement or competition.



Can I take photos or video during class?

We do not allow photography or video recording during our classes. However, you may make arrangements with your instructor to take photos before or after class, during private lessons, or by booking a private photo shoot with Janice Keely Photography at



I identify as a woman, can I take classes here?

Most definitely! We welcome all self identifying women into this safe space.



If I am not able to make one of my classes in my series, can I retake it at another time?

Unfortunately you can not, each week will build upon the previous week. But we do review all material every week and your instructor will work with you to make sure that you are caught up.
